George Willis Billings – December 6, 1886 – November 18, 1942
GEORGE BILLINGS DIES SUDDENLY
HAD ALWAYS LIVED IN NORA SPRINGSNora Springs – George Billings, 55, died very suddenly Wednesday noon from a heart attack. He had spent the morning at the John R. Adams residence, and his death came almost entirely without warning. He would have been 56 next month, having been born December 6, 1886, in Nora Springs. Mr. Billings had spent his entire life here.
Surviving are his widow and six children, Mrs. Roy Clapp of Charles City; Willis of Nora Springs; Mrs. Floyd Bowen of Rock Falls; Ilo Billings, who is with the national guard and at last reports was located in England; Donna and Della, both at home.
Surviving him also are three brothers, Ed and Jim Billings of Nora Springs and Al Billings of Rudd, as well as six grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Sheckler Funeral Home.
