COLLISION WITH ROAD GRADER IS CAUSE OF DEATH
DR. NEIL A. BRIGHT, FORMER NORA SPRINGS BOY, IS KILLED IN DAKOTA

Nora Springs, June 13 – A few hours after he had been married to Miss Louise McAllister at Hawarden, Dr. Neil A. Bright was killed instantly in an automobile accident at White Lake, South Dakota, yesterday afternoon. Dr. Bright was born and grew to manhood in Nora Springs.

His parents had attended the wedding which was held at the home of the bride in Hawarden. At the time of the accident they were enroute to Nora Springs and efforts to reach them to inform them of their son’s death failed until they reached here at about 7 o’clock last evening. After a brief lunch they started on the return trip to Hawarden where the body of their son had been taken.

Dr. Bright had been graduated from the University of Iowa in 1928. During the past year he served as an intern in Detroit in a large hospital and at the time of his death was building up a practice in Hudson, South Dakota.

Details of the accident are unknown to Nora Springs relatives with the exception that the car collided with a road grader near White Lake and tipped over, pinning the doctor, who was driving, beneath it. His bride escaped uninjured. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
