Daniel White dies today at his home here. He was born February 14, 1855 in West Chester, PA

Daniel White, 83, a retired farmer, died at his home, 704 Hildreth Street this morning at 8:30 following an extended illness.

Twelve years ago he retired and moved from his farm, north of Colwell to Charles City to make his home.

He is survived by his widow, Catherine O'Meara White, two sons, Joseph White, Waukon and John White, Charles City; two daughters, Mrs. George Kane, Charles City and Mrs. Dennis Burns, St. Paul, Minn, one brother, Frank White, Dubuque, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Keneally, Dubuque.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception with Rev. Thomas Rooney as celebrant. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

The body will be returned to the late residence Wednesday morning from the Hauser Funeral Home.
