Margaret Leslie, 58, of Nashua, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at her home.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Margaret Ann Leslie was born May 18, 1954, at Charles City, the daughter of Marion and Mary (Herman) Leslie, Sr. She attended school at Charles City and received her Associate Degree from North Iowa Area Community College. In 1971 she married Jack Ward, Sr. and to this union three children were born. They later divorced.

Over the years she worked for Comprehensive Systems, the Salsbury Baptist Home and Allstates Quality Foods. She enjoyed gardening, interior decorating, doing crafts and her dog. Margaret looked forward to spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and sharing her life with them.

Living family members include her significant other, Steve Thompson of Austin, Minn.; five children, Jacquelynn (Ted Damilao) Ward of Tulsa, Okla., Mary Forry of New Hampton, Jack Wesley "JW" (Amy) Ward, Jr. of Nashua, Tim (Solmari) Thompson of Charles City and Tina (Brandon) Evans of Nashua; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Marion Leslie, Jr. of Nashua and Mike (Missy) Leslie of Charles City; three sisters, Maria (Dan) Janssen of Nashua, Janice (Gary Meyers) Thompson of Charles City and Ann Leslie of Charles City; and her mother, Mary Leslie of Nashua.

She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Katherine Leslie; a brother, Kenneth Leslie, Sr.; and her beloved and devoted dog Sam.
