CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Kathleen "Katie" Sinram, 86, of Charles City, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

A funeral Mass for Katie Sinram will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Carl Ries will officiate.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Greene.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m.

The Hauser Funeral Home, in Charles City, 641-228-2323, is in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen Clare Skillen Sinram was born May 7, 1925, at Greene, the daughter of Ralph and Lillian (Smith) Skillen. She graduated from Greene High School. On July 6, 1963, she was united in marriage to Orville Sinram. Katie worked for a brief time at Northern Pump in Minnesota and then for 30 years at Oliver/White Farm Equipment Company. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Saint Joseph's Circle. Her interests included cooking and dancing.

Living family members include three sisters, Harriet Skillen and Paulette Skillen both of Charles City and Sandra Dugan of Muscatine; a brother-in-law, Lavern Sinram of Oelwein; 14 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1989; two sisters, Joan Sinram and Audrey Adams; and two brothers-in-law, Danny Dugan and Jackie Adams.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
