Nora Springs, Iowa - Frances A. Kelley, 87, of Nora Springs, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Nora Springs Care Center in Nora Springs.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Michael Schueller as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 15, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, from 4 until 6 p.m. where a Scriptural Wake will be held at 6 p.m.
Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass on Monday at the funeral home. Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Frances' name in care of her family.

Frances A. Kelley, 87, of Nora Springs died Thursday (April 12, 2012) at the Nora Springs Care Center in Nora Springs.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening (April 15, 2012) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. N.E., Mason City, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. where a Scriptural Wake will be held at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass on Monday at the funeral home.

Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Frances’ name in care of her family.

Frances Arlene Fredricks was born on January 30, 1925 in Rockford, the daughter of George B. and Ada Blanche (Dutcher) Fredricks. She attended and graduated from Nora Springs High School.

On August 26, 1942 Frances was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Robert Kelley in Mason City. This union would be blessed with five children. Following their marriage, Frances assisted Bob with their farming operation, soon after they began Kelley Truck Line where Frances was a dispatcher along with being the bookkeeper. In 1966 Bob and Frances sold the business but continued to work within it as a leased operator.

Frances enjoyed time spent with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In her free time she could often be found reading or solving a crossword puzzle.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City and looked forward to attending weekly Mass each Sunday.

Those grateful in sharing in Frances’ life are her children, Janice Turnbull, Mason City, Jim (Joetta) Kelley, Evansdale, Jerry (Connie) Kelley, Nora Springs, Joyce (Jim) Fountas, Mason City, and Jeff (Lisa) Kelley, Rockford; her grandchildren, Troy Turnbull, Scott (Sara) Turnbull, Rod (Jennifer) Kelley, Chad (Jennifer) Kelley, Ryan (Kendra) Kelley, Brandon (Jodi) Kelley Staci Whalen, Brad Whalen, Trent Whalen, Renee (Kent) Rhoades, and Shawna Kelley; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Marge (Jim) Rockwell, California, and Wanda (Darrel) Walker, Nora Springs; a brother in law, Tom (Phyllis) Kelley, Nora Springs; and a sister in law, Millie Fredricks, McIntire.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, her siblings, Mully (Molly) Fredricks, and Roger Fredricks; her sisters and brothers in law, Doris (Bernard) Fitzgerald and Vern and Dorothy Jacobson.
