CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Earl I. McKenzie, 78, died Friday (April 17, 1998) at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home with the Rev. Darwin Miller of the Temple Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at graveside by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today where the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Earl Ivan McKenzie was born Sept. 24, 1919, at Whittemore.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Nicholson of Charles City; two sons, Dennis McKenzie of Rochester, Minn., and Gilbert McKenzie of Menasha, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, a brother and a great-grandchild.
