Charles City, Iowa - Lowell R. Shultz, 92, of Charles City, died Wednesday evening March 14, 2012, at the 11th Street Chautauque Guest Home in Charles City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, at the Marble Rock United Methodist Church, 208 Iowa St, Marble Rock. Rev. Judy Wooton will officiate.

Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Marble Rock.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 18, at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City.

Lowell was born on April 13, 1919, in Powersville, to Clinton and Myrtle (Elfers) Shultz. He was a twin with his brother, Lloyd, who died before reaching the age of one. His life revolved around farming as he grew up with his other five brothers. He graduated from Marble Rock High School and settled in working on the farm and also having an ag and fertilizer business. His love was always farming and he enjoyed getting together with other farmers for coffee and talk.

Lowell is survived by his son Lloyd (Linda) Pierson of Charles City, grandson Clinton Pierson of Big Lake, Minnesota, granddaughter Kelley Pierson of Charles City, two sister-in-laws and many nephews and nieces.

Preceding Lowell in death were his parents; his brothers Lloyd, Dan, Raymond, Dean, George and Clyde; along with one granddaughter.
