Charles Chris Hoeft –November 18, 1874 – December 11, 1961

CHARLES C HOEFT RITES THURSDAY AT CHARLES CITY

Charles City – Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church for Charles Chris Hoeft, 87. He died Monday night at his home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home is in charge.

Born in Ripon, Wisconsin, November 18, 1874, he was the son of Gotleib and Fredericka Ferch Hoeft.

On January 28, 1914, he was married to Laura Krumrey in the Lutheran parsonage in Charles City. He was a member of St. John Lutheran church. Before moving to Charles City in 1952, Mr. and Mrs. Hoeft farmed many years northeast of Charles City.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter; Grace L. Cummings; two grandchildren; and a brother; Frank Hoeft, all of Charles City.
