LeRoy Charles "Duff" Duffy was born December 23, 1932, at LeRoy, Minn., the son of Charles and Dorothy (Wells) Duffy. In 1951 he graduated from Riceville High School and in 1968 received his Associate Degree from NIACC in Mason City. Duff served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. On June 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Manning at the family farm near Cresco. Duff was employed at the Oliver/White Farm Corporation for 34 years and after retiring was a part of the Duffy Clothing Store in the Cedar Mall.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Elk's Club, VFW and Cedar Ridge Golf Course. Duff enjoyed being a Little League coach, attending auctions and collecting and refinishing antiques. He loved telling stories about hitchhiking to California, the Air Force and having good laughs with his family and friends. In later years, one of his favorite things to do was meeting his coffee group at Dave's Restaurant. His hobbies included hunting and fishing in younger years, card playing, especially Euchre, golf and playing "hustling" pool and dancing. Duff enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren and sharing special moments and activities with them. He will be deeply missed by family and friends and we will all miss Duff's hardy laugh.

Living family members include his wife of 54 years, Lorraine of Charles City; two children, Michael (Kim) Duffy of Marietta, Georgia, and Denise (Joe) Miglio of Lemont, Illinois; four grandchildren, Ben and Shannon Duffy and Joey and Zach Miglio; a sister, Donna McFarland of Willard, Wisc.; and many nieces and nephews.
