Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 10 at the Immaculate Conception church in Charles City for a former Osage resident, Magnus B. Egan, age 77, of Charles City. He died Friday, April 6, 1984 at Floyd County Memorial Hospital. Rev. E. Shields officiated at the service with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

Magnus Egan was born on October 4, 1906 in Osage, the son of Thomas and Annie Egan. He worked for the Geo. P. Smith Co. for 20 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Randall of Osage and Mary Pugsley of Chicago, Illinois; two sons, Steve of Iowa City and Jim of Sarasota, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
