CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Amelia "Amy" Hennagir, 86, of Charles City, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

A memorial Mass for Amy Hennagir will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery at Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday where the rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. and a scriptural prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. The family will also greet friends at the church an hour prior to the service.

Amelia "Amy" Hennagir 86, of Charles City, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Amelia Barbara Kobliska Hennagir was born June 6, 1925, at Alta Vista, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Koudelka) Kobliska. She graduated from the Alta Vista School. On November 7, 1942, she was united in marriage to Donald Hennagir at Mission, Tex. They owned and operated Hennagir's Sundry Store and later Davis Paint Store both in Charles City. Amy was also manager of The Villa for several years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Guild serving as president in 1957. Amy enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing and playing Bridge.

Living family members include two sons, David (Linda) Hennagir of Griffith, Ind. and Doug (Diane) Hennagir of Steamboat Rock; four grandchildren, Tereasa (Jarad) Kotzo, Dawn (John) Falkner, Bonita (Travis) Walls and Scott (Sarah) Hennagir; seven great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and a sister, Larraine Talyot of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Dean Hennagir; and three sisters.
