MRS. MARGARET EASTMAN

AMHERST, OHIO, June 22, 1936 -- Mrs. Margaret I. Eastman passed away at her home on Harris street this morning at 12:30 a.m. after an illness of two weeks. She was born in western Ohio, eighty-one years ago, and for a number of years made her home in Iowa. She returned to Ohio in 1912 and lived in Elyria for one year, and moved to Oberlin where she resided until fourteen years ago, when she came to Amherst.

She is survived by her husband, W. A. Eastman; son, J.O. Laird of Evanston, Illinois, three step-sons, Reverend F. E. Eastman of Waterman, V. P. Eastman of Missoula, Montana, and W. R. Eastman, of Charles City, Iowa; also ten grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Roche, of Oakland, California.

Mrs. Eastman was a member of the, Amherst Congregational church, and the Ladies' Aid Society. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

MRS. W. A. EASTMAN
DIED IN OHIO HOME

Mrs. W. A. Eastman, a former Osage woman, passed away last week at her home in Oberlin, Ohio, at the age of 81 years. Her body was brought to Charles City where it is being held in a sealed casket pending the arrival of her son, Joe Laird, from California. Mr. Laird has been delayed from coming by illness.

Mr. Eastman accompanied the remains of his wife to Iowa and is visiting at Nashua, his old home. After the funeral service, interment will be made at Nashua.

The Eastmans lived for a number of years on the corner of Ash and North Fifth streets, in the house now owned and occupied by Mrs. E. Gaarder and daughter.

Mr. Eastman operated a grocery store in the building now occupied by the Dean Kingsbury plumbing shop and the Hedrick-Flack barber shop. The Eastmans left Osage for Ohio about 24 years ago.

BURIAL SERVICE FOR
MRS. WILL EASTMAN
AT NASHUA JULY 17

(Nashua Reporter)

Burial rites for Mrs. Will Eastman, former Nashua resident, were held on Friday, July 17, 1936, at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Eastman, who was 81 years old, died at her home in Amherst, Ohio, June 24, 1936. Her body had been kept in a hermetically sealed vault at the Hauser Funeral home in Charles City, awaiting the arrival of her son, Joe Laird, of Evanston, Illinois, who was in California at the time of her death. Her husband has been visiting his sisters, Misses Clara and Fannie Eastman, in Nashua, since bringing his remains to Charles City.

Mrs. Eastman was a resident of Nashua for many years, living here for 19 years as Mrs. Joseph Laird and seven years as Mrs. Will Eastman. She also lived at Osage for a number of years before going to Ohio.
