Terry D. Quackenbush, 45, of Rudd, Iowa, died Saturday, January 29, 1994 at North Iowa Mercy Hospital, following a truck accident.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 1994 at the Rudd United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. M. Reth. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Chapel, Mason City. Interment will be at the Riverton cemetery rural Nashua.

Terry was born on April 11, 1948 in Charles City, the son of Averil and Lois (Kleinschmidt) Quackenbush. He graduated from the Rockford High School in 1966. He then moved to California for several years and then to Tacoma, Washington for three years until moving back to the Rudd area in 1978. In the fall of 1979 he started Terry's Catering Service in Rudd.

He married Linda Smith on February 27, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He had previously been in charge of the Rockford Country Club kitchen for several years and also the Elks Lodge Kitchen in Mason City for over two years. He also cartered many weddings and parties in the North Iowa area.

He was a member of the Rudd Lions Club.

Terry is survived by his stepfather and mother, Louis and Lois Palmer, Rudd; one daughter, Cassie Quackenbush, Clear Lake, two stepdaughters, Amanda Smith of Clear Lake, and Tammy Janssen of Rudd; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Linda Kleinschmidt, Clarksville; one sister, Tracy Palmer, Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Tom Quackenbush and Tim Palmer of Nora Springs.

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, and his maternal grandfather.
