Luella Pippert

Luella Pippert, 83, of Nora Springs, died on Thursday, October 6, 1994, at Mercy Hospital, Council Bluffs. Her funeral services were held on Saturday morning at First United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, with her great-nephew, the Rev. Richard Pippert, officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, with Sheckler Colonial Chapel in charge of arrangements.

The family would like memorials to be made to the Firt United Methodist Church of Nora Springs, or to the Valley View Baptist Church, Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Luella was born on October 29, 1910 in Worth County, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Christine (Stave) Odland.

She married Arlyn Pippert on September 21, 1937 in Parkersburg, Iowa. She and her husband farmed in the Mason City area until retiring in 1975, when they moved to Nora Springs.

Mrs. Pippert was a member of the Nora Springs United Methodist Church and the Social Hour Club, Mason City.

Survivors include her son, Lyle V. Pippert and his wife, Roberta, of Council Bluffs; four grandchildren, Juliane, David, Sara and Mary Pippert; one brother, Irvin Odland of Eagle Grove; and two sisters, Harriet Kruse of Parkersburg, and Irene Sims of Lakeside, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
