Keith Edwin was born at Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., the son of Alfred "Jack" and Jennet Kock. He graduated with the class of 1981 at the Greene High School. He attended NIACC in Mason City and then Devry University.

He then returned to North Iowa and worked for Alexander's technical department until its closing, Minnesota Rubber in the maintenance department, AMPI and was currently employed with Cargill.

Keith was an avid hunter of pheasants and deer, and fished many of the streams, ponds and lakes around North Iowa. He was known as a giving and caring person and loved being in social situations with his family and friends. Never a person to say no, he would travel anywhere to help someone, always refusing pay or gifts for his work.

Keith was excellent with computers and would often have the latest models and repaired his old ones. One of his hobbies was playing computer games against players all over the world.
