OUVERSON, WENTWORTH, HUTTON, RUNGE

Ruth L. Ouverson, 64, of Mason City, died Sunday, July 3, 1994 at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, following a two-year illness of cancer.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Fullerton Patterson-James Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson of First Covenant Church officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Ouverson, the former Ruth Lorene Wentworth, was born April 6, 1930, in Mason City, the daughter of Charles and Euphemy (Hutton) Wentworth. She moved to Nora Springs and lived there for 25 years. On July 1, 1978, at the First Covenant Church, Mason City, she married Luverne "Bill" Ouverson. She returned to make her home in Mason City at that time.

Mrs. Ouverson was employed as the head of housekeeping, first at Liberty Square Care Center, and later at Nora Springs Care Center, both in Nora Springs. She retired in 1984.

She was a member of First Covenant Church. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, camping, knitting, gardening and the outdoors.

Living family members include her husband, Luverne of Mason City; one daughter, the Rev. Pamela Wentworth Runge of Mason City; one stepson, Neil Ouverson of Hanlontown; one stepdaughter, Winnefred Myca of Gary, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Tonya Runge Haag, Damon Runge, Deon Runge, Ginny Ouverson, Kristie Ouverson, Paul Ouverson and Kary Arkfeld; and four great-grandchildren: Nicholas Haag, Tiarria Haag, Elizabeth Ouverson and Cassie Arkfeld.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dale, Lyle and Wayne Wentworth; and one sister, Clara Belle Fredricks.
