OLSON, Victor A.

Victor A. Olson, 98, of Rockford, died on Tuesday, December 20, 1994 at the Salsbury Baptist Home in Charles City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 24, from the United Methodist Church in Rockford. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery near Bristow. Pastor R. Rohde-Frank officiated. The Schumburg Funeral Home in Rockford was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Olson was born on October 20, 1896 near Latimer, Iowa, the son of Charles F. and Bessie (Christenson) Olson. He was employed by John Deere and farmed during his working life. On June 12, 1937 he and Gertrude E. Hobson were married. He loved to attend farm sales, play cards, and visit with friends.

Living family members include two brothers, Albert Olson of Manly and Dr. Herman Olson of Cosa Grande, Arizona; and one sister, Mable Messer of Waverly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, two brothers, Roy and Lester; and one sister, Bertha Jacobsen.
