Richard M. "Dick" Fullerton, 78, of Rockford, died on Thursday, May 5, 1994 at home, of natural causes.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 9, 1994, at the Rockford United Methodist Church. Officiating was Rev. Shirley Meendering, pastor. Interment was at the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. The Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Richard was born on December 23, 1915 on the Fullerton farm south of Rockford. He was the son of Henry J. (Dick) and Ruth (Morrison) Fullerton. He graduated from the Rockford High School in 1933. He farmed in Rockford all of his life.

He married Patricia Patton on June 7, 1939 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Dick was a former 4-H leader and a past director of the Farm Bureau. Dick and Pat were active in the Wig-Wam and Wagon Camping Club, and the Rockford Historical Society where he was the president, and the Rockford United Methodist Church. They also spent many pleasureable winters at the Ford Dade Mobile Home Park in Dade City, Florida.

Richard is survived by his wife Pat, Rockford; three daughters: Mrs Harold (Nancy) Kendrew of Rock Falls, Mrs. Tom (Kay) Mohring of Waverly, and Dixie Wallace of Nora Springs; one son, Don and his wife, Jan, of Rockford; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Ryan Kula.
