Funeral services for Lloyd O. Moen, 89, of rural Osage, who died Sunday, January 30, were held on Saturday, February 5, 1994 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, with Rev. D. Hanson and Rev. T. Hughes officiating.

Lloyd O. Moen was born on August 8, 1904 in Deer Creek Township, near Carpenter, to Ole E. and Rose K. Moen. He was baptized and confirmed at Deer Creek Lutheran Church. He graduated from Carpenter High School in 1925 and the American Institute of Business in Des Moines in 1929.

Mollie H. Christiansen of Manly and Lloyd Moen were married on February 27, 1932 in Northwood. They have been farming in Mitchell COunty since 1932. Lloyd retired and resided on the family farm until his death. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Mollie, rural Osage; two sons, Gene of Nora Springs and Ronald of Clarkston, Michigan; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger; three brothers: Ole O., Alvin and Carl; four sisters: Dena Nelson, Julia Ask, Olene Biederman, and Carolyn Olson.

Burial was in the Osage cemetery.
