Genevieve ‘Jane’ Marie Ginapp

MASON CITY, IOWA — Genevieve “Jane” Marie Ginapp, 80, of 2060 S. Kentucky Ave., died Monday, October 10, 2005, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. William W. Poland officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sheffield Cemetery, Sheffield.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Genevieve Marie Clark was born on November 8, 1924, in Floyd County, Iowa, the daughter of Asa E. and Alice (Smith) Clark. She attended Rockwell schools.

Jane was united in marriage to Lyle F. Ginapp on December 14, 1941, in Mason City; to this union five children were born.

Jane and Lyle farmed near Dougherty and Plymouth area before moving to Mason City.

Jane went to work for Marshall and Swift for 25 years until her retirement.

Jane loved gardening, quilting, and fishing. She was a collector of many pigs. Her greatest love was spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed all of her friends at Kentucky Ridge.

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, and the VFW Auxiliary.

Jane is survived by her children, Sharon Aisenbrey, of Oelwein, Joel (Sandy) Ginapp, of Mason City, Gary (Janie) Ginapp, of Mason City, Fred (Gail) Ginapp, of Grand Prairie, Texas, Clark Ginapp, of Holyoke, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Yanney, of Mason City; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Alice Clark; husband, Lyle Ginapp; brothers, Francis, Harold and Merlin Clark; sisters, Hazel Kammeier, Myrtle Ewers, Ruth Hitzhusen, and Betty Geddes; one grandson, Neil Ginapp.
