Lois Delores Freese, 83, of Nora Springs, died Monday, January 3, 1994, at the Nora Springs Care Center.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at First United Methodist Church in Nora Springs, with Rev. R. Pippert officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery at Alta Vista, Iowa.

Sheckler Colonial Chapel of Nora Springs was in charge of the arrangements.

The family requested that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church in Nora Springs, in her memory.

Lois Delores Freese was born on January 2, 1911, in Howard county, northwest of New Hampton, the daughter of John and Iona (Womack) Webb.

She received her education in the Alta Vista school system. graduated from Alta Vista High School, and later attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught in rural schools in the Alta Vista area for several years. She lived in the Alta Vista area until her marriage to Ralph Miller on November 23, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1964. Delores and her husband, Ralph, had owned and operated the Miller Grocery store in Nora Springs for several years.

She was united in marriage to John Freese on October 14, 1967, at thre First United Methodist Church in Nora Springs. They made their home in rural Nora Springs.

She was a member of the First united Methodist Church, Rebecca Lodge and the American Legion Auziliary, all in Nora Springs.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Freese, Nora Springs; three btoehrs: Russell Webb, Alta Vista; Loyd Webb and his wife, Mary, Alta Vista; and Elroy Webb, of Dubuque; two sisters, Velda Heying and her husband, Leo, of Alta Vista, and Edna Schroeder and her husband, Merle, of Elma; as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Besides her first husband, Ralph Miller, she was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Raymond and Everett, who died in infancy, and Edward Webb.
