Roxann "Rocky" R. Schmidt, 49, of Rudd, formerly of Floyd, died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.

Funeral services for Rocky Schmidt will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Paul Phillips will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.

The family will greet friends Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time.

Roxann Rae Baumgardner Schmidt was born October 26, 1962, at Charles City, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Blunt) Baumgardner. She attended Charles City High School and later received her GED. On September 4, 1981, she was united in marriage to Michael Schmidt at Charles City. Over the years Rocky was employed at Casey's, Subway and K Mart where she always enjoyed working with her customers. Her interests included crocheting, fishing, playing Bingo and just sitting around a campfire. Family was important to Rocky and she always looked forward to attending the Blunt and Lockie family reunions. Rocky will always be remembered by her family as a person who loved dogs, especially her Tzitzu CB.

Living family members include her husband Michael Schmidt of Rudd; a daughter, Jasmine (Billie Jo Law) Schmidt of Osage; three grandchildren, Justine Breitbach, MacKenzie Kyhl and Gage Kyhl; and a sister, Carolyn Baumgardner of Glenwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
