Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, 1987 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Nora Springs, Iowa, for Mrs. Margaret M. Hinrichsen, 87, of Nora Springs. Rev. H. Tegtmeier officiated and burial was in the Park Cemetery, Nora Springs. She died on Friday, May 15, 1987 at the Nora Springs nursing home.

Born on June 18, 1899 in Germany, Mrs. Hinrichsen was the daughter of William and Johanna Hinrichsen**. She came to the United States at the age of two and settled in the Nora Springs area. She attended the former Nora Springs Seminary.

On March 10, 1917, she married Martin T. Hinrichsen in Kentucky. They farmed in the Nora Springs and Rock Falls areas for several years. Mr. Hinrichsen died in 1971.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; a brother; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Reynolds of Mason City; three sons: Earl S. of Nora Springs, Don of Rock Falls, and Robert of Osage; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John Hinrichsen of Greene and Harry Hinrichsen of Oswego, New York.
