CHINNERY, PALMER, WETTER, VINING, SCOTT, STONER

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 23 at Hage Funeral Home in Charles City, Iowa, for Clayton A. Chinnery, 66, of rural Orchard. Rev. A. Wegner of Faith Bible Chapel officiated at the service with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Charles City. Chinnery died Thursday, December 19, 1985, at a Waterloo hospital.

Clayton was born on October 11, 1919 at Charles City, to Albert and Bessie (Palmer) Chinnery. He received his education in Charles City schools. On October 25, 1941, he married Jeanette Wetter at Charles City.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. He was a member of the Orchard Post of the American Legion.

Mr. Chinnery was self-employed and was owner of the A.F.S. Distributing Co. in Orchard.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; two daughters, Mrs. Linda May Stoner of Orchard and Mrs. Elaine Ann Scott of Seymour; one sister, Pauline Vining of Charles City; and five grandchildren.
