Wesley A. “Wes” Stiller, 71, of Rudd, died Saturday (October 8, 2011) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday (October 13, 2011) at Holy Name Catholic Church, 507 1st Ave., N.W., Rockford, with the Rev. Rodney M. Allers as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Rudd.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening (October 12, 2011) at Holy Name Catholic Church from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will continue one hour priors to Wes’ Mass on Thursday.
Should friends desire, memorials may be left to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Wes’ name.
Wesley Albert Stiller was born on October 19, 1939 to August and Ester (Weaverling) Stiller. He attended and graduated from Nora Springs High School. On January 23, 1960 Wes was united in marriage to Carolyn Kay Lines; to this union four children were born.
Wes worked for over 30 years at Cambrex of Charles city where he worked as a pipe fitter and was currently working at Hoover’s Hatchery in Rudd.
In his free time Wes enjoyed playing cards, motorcycling, and watching NASCAR. He was a gifted woodworker and crafted beautiful furniture. Wes also cherished the time spent with his family and had a love for good conversation. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Rockford.
Those grateful in sharing in his life are his wife, Carolyn “Kay” Stiller, Rudd; children, Ralph (Becca) Stiller, Huxley, Tina (Dan) Vrba, DeWitt, Vicki (Dave) Koebrick, Garner, and Janeen (Tim) Casebolt, Ankeny; grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Koebrick, Curtis (Sarah) Koebrick, Nick Koebrick, Michael Koebrick, Aaron Stiller, Dianna (Alex) Stiller, Andrea (Charles) Stiller, Jordan Bresley, Tyler Johnson, Tonya (Dean) Vrba, Christopher Vrba, Bradly Casebolt, Shaun Casebolt, and Krislynn Casebolt; great grandchildren, Skylar Koebrick, Leah Loebrick, Blaze Koebrick, Nyah Yoder, Olivia Nevel, and one on the way; sisters, June Merriss and Patty Holtz; as well as other extended relatives and many friends.
Wes is preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, Art Lines
