Gerald “Gay” McNamara 1902-1957

RITES FOR G. McNAMARA SET MONDAY
Funeral services for Gerald (Gay) McNamara, 55 who died Thursday afternoon in Rockford will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Patterson-James Mason City Chapel. The Rev. A. Fredette, pastor of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Nora Springs, will officiate.

Mr. McNamara was born February 9, 1902 at Rudd, the son of Hiram and Catherine (Graves) McNamara. He was married January 7, 1925 at Charles City to Anna Christine Margaret Andersen. He had been a Rockford resident for the last eight years.

He is survived by his wife, four sons, Robert, Clear Lake; Gerald Jr., Rockwell; Lanny and John both of Rockford; three daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Cathleen) Hansen, Rockwell; Mrs. Wayne (Margaret) Prazek, Nora Springs; Mrs. Charles (Audrey) Warner, Mason City; and 12 grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers; George and Ellsworth, both of Nora Springs, and two sisters; Mrs. William Stohr, Charles City; and Mrs. John Morgan, St. Paul.

Mr. McNamara was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call until time of the service.
