Edward Vandeventer

Edward E. Vandeventer, 65, a resident of 105 Hart St., died Saturday January 5, 1991, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home. The Rev. A. C. Wegner, Jr., pastor of the Faith Bible Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home after 7:30 p.m. Monday and until service time Tuesday.

Edward Ernest Vandeventer was born April 28, 1925, in Charles City, the son of Ernest Romanzo & Grace C. Naber Vandeventer. He received his education in the Charles City schools and on December 14, 1946, he and Evelyn Coomer were married in Rockford. She died in 1978. He was employed by the Oliver and White Farm Equipment Corporations in the foundry.

Edward is survived by two sons, Edward Jr. of Nashua and Charles of Anaheim, California; two daughters, Katherine (Mrs. Tim) Gerkins and Christine (Mrs. Bill) Tonn, both of Antioch, California; three brothers, Raymond of Charles City, Elroy of Louisville, Ky., and Howard of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Lavernus (Mrs. Ivan) Friend and Lula Schmidt both of Charles City; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons, three sisters and a brother.
