FRANCIS G. "GARY" HUTCHENS
NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Francis G. "Gary" Hutchens, 59, of 3333 N. Flowing Wells Road, Tucson, Arizona, died Friday (Nov. 8, 2002) at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Following cremation, graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Dougherty with the Rev. Craig E. Steimel officiating.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa.
Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. in Mason City, is handling arrangements.
Francis G. Hutchens was born on August 8, 1943, at Waterloo, a son of Everett and Alice (Holding) Hutchens. A long-time resident of Nora Springs, Gary was a graduate of Nora Springs High School.
Gary enjoyed woodworking, building models, coin collecting and collecting antique guns, especially black powder guns.
Gary is survived by three children, Bonita Wallace, of Tucson, Robert J. Mathis, of Tucson, and Tee Jay Hutchens, of Tucson; seven grandchildren; his father, Everett Hutchens, of Mason City, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Holding; his wife, Christine, in 1988, and his mother, Alice Hutchens.
