EDNA MAE HOLTZ

RUDD, IOWA - Edna Mae Holtz, 93, of Nora Springs, formerly of Rudd, died Saturday (Dec. 29, 2001) at the Nora Springs Care Center.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rudd Wesleyan Church with Pastor Martin Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.

Visitation will be held the same day for one hour prior to services at the church. Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 North Hawkeye, Nora Springs, is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Rudd Wesleyan Church.

Edna was born on October 24, 1908, in Floyd County, the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Muller) Witzel.

She was united in marriage to Roy Daniel Holtz on Feb. 28, 1928, in Charles City.

Edna was a lifelong homemaker who lived in or near Rudd all of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and was a longtime member of the Rudd Wesleyan Church.

Edna is survived by one sister, Selma Holtz of Valley Center, Calif., and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; one sister, Iola; and two brothers, Homer and Stanley.
