Drowned Man Born at Charles City Des Moines —UNS)

The body of the man who drowned Wednesday while fishing in the Des Moines river, has been identified as August Koebrick, of Oklahoma, who was visiting here. He was born in Charles
City, Iowa.

Charles City Man
Drowned in River

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — The body of August Koebrick, 73, who was found drowned, in the Des Moines River last Wednesday [June 29, 1932], arrived in this city Monday.

Funeral services were to be held Tuesday afternoon at the Hauser Funeral Home with Rev. William Schmidt officiating. Burial was to be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Koebrick was born in Blue Island, Illinois, on September 1, 1858 and came to Floyd county with his parents when a lad of 7. They settled on a farm near Charles City. In 1891 he moved to El Reno, Oklahoma, where he lived until 1918 when he moved to Des Moines.

Last Wednesday he went to fish and had removed his shoes and stockings. The body was not discovered until the next day.

He is survived by four sons and seven daughters: Ernest, Detroit, Michigan; George, Des Moines; Anna McMahan, Marlow, Oklahoma; Margaret Helle, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; Father O'Leary, San Francisco; Pearl of Dallas, Texas; Mabel Koebrick, Des Moines; Carl, New Buffalo, Michigan; Mrs. Katherine Wren, Savery, Wyoming; Dorothy Hann, Evanston, Wyoming, All will attend the last rites, excepting four.
