Held August 5Funeral services were held Aug. 5 at Eden Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Mary Marth 83, of Rudd who died Aug. 2, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in St. Ansgar.
The Rev. Robert Peters pastor, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery near Rudd.
Mary Brandau was born August 29, 1884, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Brandau northeast of Rudd. She received her education in the Rudd township schools.
She was married to Andrew Marth April 16, 1906. They made their home on a farm north of Rudd. She entered Memorial hospital in Osage where she was a patient from January, 1964 to June 1965, then entered Good Samaritan Home.
Mr. Marth died July 27, 1966. Others preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Henry, George and Justus Brandau; one son Clarence and a grandson, Alton Philipp.
Survivors include one son, Lawrence of Rudd, one daughter Mrs. Andrew Philipp (Esther) of Osage; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
