Will Be Interred
at Rockford Cemetery

ROCKFORD, IOWA — Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Dunkelberg, 74, who died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown at Nora Springs Sunday afternoon will be held in Rockford Wednesday afternoon with burial in Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Dunkelberg is survived by six stepchildren, Mrs. David Mitchell, Lincoln, Illinois; Ray and Arthur Dunkelberg, Rockford; Floyd Dunkelberg, Mason City; Capt. Wilber Dunkelberg, Washington, D. C.; and Mrs. H. W. Stewart, Omaha, Nebraska.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1919. Following his death she remained on the Dunkelberg farm near Rockford until about six years ago when she moved to Nora Springs to make her home.

The body was brought to the Munshower funeral parlors.

FUNERAL HELD FOR WOMAN, 74

Services Delayed Until
Arrival of U. S. Army Captain

ROCKFORD, IOWA - Funeral services for Minnie DUNKELBERG, 74, who died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred BROWN at Nora Springs Sunday were delayed until Wednesday awaiting the arrival of Wilbur DUNKELBERG, U. S. army captain stationed at Washington, D.C., who came by airplane and arrived in Rockford Tuesday.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Charles Fort and burial was in Riverside cemetery. Four step-sons, Ray and Arthur DUNKELBERG, Rockford, Wilber, Washington, D.C., and Floyd DUNKELBERG, Mason City, and two step-sons-in-law, David MITCHELL, Lincoln, Illinois, and R. W. STEWART Omaha, Neb., served as pallbearers and Jean MUNSHOWER sang the funeral hymns.

Besides the step-sons who served as pallbearers, Mrs. DUNKELBERG is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. Alta MITCHELL, Lincoln, Illiois, and Mrs. Irene STEWART, Omaha, Nebraska, and a sister, Mrs. M. OPPEDAHL, Antigo, Wisconsin. All of her family were in attendance at the funeral.

Her husband, a prominent farmer and figure in political life, preceded her in death 20 years ago. After his death Mrs. DUNKELBERG remained on the farm until six years ago when she retired and made her home in Nora Springs. She had been in failing health for several months and death was due to a lingering illness.

She was a member of the D.A.R. and during her residence here was a member of Fidelity chapter Order of Eastern Star.
