THEODORE P. THEILEN

NASHUA, IOWA - Theodore P. Theilen, 62, formerly of Charles City, passed away Sunday (Dec. 12, 1999) at his home in rural Nashua of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City with Monsignor Stanley Hayek officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in New Haven.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home, Nashua, and one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday. There will be a 3 p.m. rosary service and a 7 p.m. scripture service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Theodore P. Theilen was born March 18, 1937, in Mason City to Henry and Julia (McLaughlin) Theilen.

He married Patricia Dostart on Sept. 28, 1957, in New Haven. Ted worked as a construction foreman for 27 years. For the last 10 years he had been a self-employed contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three sons, David of Milo, Dennis of Nashua and Don of Seymour, Ind.; one daughter, Sharon Strange of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; five brothers, Marian (Bud) Theilen of Nashua, Henry Theilen of Missouri, James Theilen of Cedar Falls, and Anthony John Theilen and Joseph (Butch) Theilen, both of Nora Springs; five sisters, Joanne Lubbert and Kathy Welshans, both of Waterloo, Rose Starr and Anna Mae Jones, both of Charles City, and Judy Natvig of Davenport.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Julia (McLaughlin) Theilen, and one brother, Harold.
