EDITH F. LARSEN

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Edith F. Larsen, 94, of Nora Springs, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday (Feb. 28, 2001) at the Nora Springs Care Center.

She was born February 2, 1907, in Stewart, the daughter of William Hugh and Francis Maria (Brown) Linn.

She was united in marriage to Arnold C. Larsen on Aug. 25, 1934, in Waverly. He died Dec. 31, 1984.

She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Waverly. She worked as a registered nurse at Sartori Memorial Hospital and then the University of Northern Iowa Student Health Services in Cedar Falls, until retirement.

Mrs. Larsen is survived by two daughters, Rita Bigger, of Nora Springs, and Mary Jean Schaible, of Silver Spring, Md.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice, Tetzloff, of Charles City.

She was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls.

Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Nora Springs Care Center.
