Charline “Sandy” Lampson, 84, of Charles City, died Friday, December 24, 2010, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Funeral services for Sandy Lampson will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home. Monsignor Stanley Hayek of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the funeral home an hour prior to the service.

Charline Marie Grimm Lampson was born August 5, 1926, at Cresco, the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Marik) Grimm. Her mother later married Ivan McDaniel who raised her. Sandy attended school at Colwell. On April 23, 1949, she was united in marriage to John Lampson at Austin, Minn. Sandy and John farmed near Charles City for many years. Over the years she worked at the St. Charles Hotel, Fisher’s-Belmont and Charles City Manufacturing. Her interests included music, gardening, cooking, baking, camping and interior decorating. Sandy will be remembered for her “love for all”.

Living family members include her husband John Lampson of Charles City; brother-in-law, Bernard Schmitt of Charles City; sister-in-law, Annabelle Grimm of Charles City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Ivan McDaniel; two sisters, Evelyn Hector and Lillian Schmitt and two brothers, Henry and James Grimm.
