Long-time Resident Of
Nora Springs Dies In
Mason City on July 7

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, July 9, for Mrs. Hattie Lenhart, 85, who died Tuesday afternoon, July 7, at the I.O.O.F. home at Mason City, where she had been a resident for the past four years.

Burial will be in Park cemetery, with rites by the members of the local Rebekah lodge, of which, Mrs. Lenhart had been a member for more than 50 years. The Rev. W. F. Ellerbeck, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren church will officiate.

Mrs. Lenhart was born Jan. 11, 1868, at Waupun, Wisconsin, daughter of John and Jennie Fitzel. She had moved to Nora Springs at an early age and lived here almost all her life.

She was married to Mathew Lenhart on June 23, 1896, and one daughter, Ethel, was born to the couple.

Mrs. Lenhart was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, the daughter, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors are her four grandchildren, Mrs. Roy (Ruth) Clapp of Charles City, Willis Billings of Nora Springs, Ilo Billings of Charles City and Mrs. Floyd (Alta) Bowen of Rock Falls; as well as 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
