Illness Proves Fatal to
Life-time Resident Of
Rock Grove Township

Mrs. William Krueger, 51, died at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22 at her farm home southeast of Nora Springs, following several months' suffering. She had been under treatment at Iowa City for almost two months, and later at a Charles City hospital.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 26, at the Emil Nielsen home; and at 2 o'clock at the Sheckler funeral home, with the Rev. Amedee Fredette, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran church, conducting the rites. Interment was in Park, cemetery. The casket was borne by Carl Dyre, Svend Andersen, John Jerrell, Arlo Marchant, L. V. Jacobson, and Joe Holub.

Mrs. Krueger, nee Anna Amelia Nielson, was born June 15, 1902, in Rock Grove township, where she lived during her entire life. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Nielsen, came originally from Germany. She was baptized in the Lutheran church at Rockford shortly after her birth; and was also confirmed in that same chuch on Aug. 2, 1916.

She was married to William Frederick Krueger on July 22, 1929. Her husband and their only son, Robert John Krueger, remain to mourn her; and two brothers, Emil Nielsen of Nora Springs and Cornelius Nielsen of North Hollywood, Calif.; four nieces; six nephews, an aunt, Mrs. Hedwig Volkman of Nora Springs, and an uncle, Ferdinand Bottecher of Max, N. Dak., as well as other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1934, her mother in 1940, and her brother, Andrew in 1927.
