Elizabeth Jane “Lizzie” (nee Lombard) Whipple 1879-1961

RITES PENDING AT CHARLES CITY FOR MRS. WHIPPLE

CHARLES CITY, IOWA – Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Robert M. Whipple, 82, are in charge of the Hauser Funeral Home. She died Monday morning in her sleep at the Salsbury Baptist Home. She had been in failing health many years. She had moved to the Salsbury Home a year and a half ago. They have been Charles City residents for 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Langfelt, and a son Stanley R. Whipple, both in the Baltimore, Maryland, area.

Lizzie (Lombard) Whipple was the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Clark) Lombard. She married Robert Mandel Whipple, the son of Charles Whipple and Martha (Warren) Whipple.
