NORA SPRINGS, IOWA — Elmer Crawford, 71, died of a heart attack Monday morning at the wheel of his car while returning from town. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church here. The Reverend Loren Works will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Grove Cemetery with Sheckler Funeral Home in charge.

Born January 18, 1892, he was the son of George and Florence Crawford. The family lived on a farm two miles east of Nora Springs.

He was married to Majel Noah March 26, 1913, and farmed until retiring to Nora Springs in 1945.

Surviving are his wife; a son, George, Mason City; a half brother, Ed Clifford, four grandhildren and a great-grandchild. Another son, Eldon, was killed in World War II.
