CHARLES CITY, IOWA - August J. Hoffman, 77, of 603 Hardwood St. Charles City, and formerly of 1269 Quincy Ave., Floyd, died Monday, June 7, 1999, at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with a 3 p.m. Rosary and a 7 p.m. Vigil Scriptural wake service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Friday at the Church.
