Mrs. W. Witt

Mrs. William (Myrtie) Witt, 70, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, at a Mason City hosptial. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, at the United Methodist Church, Nora Springs with Rev. Donald Harbour officiating. Burial was in the Park Cemetery, the Sheckler Funeral Home in charge. Pall bearers were Howard Treloar, Lyle Geisler, Clair Holmes, Lyle Robeson, Charles Smith and Emery Geisler. Mrs. Lyle Geisler and Mrs. Lyle Robeson were in charge of flowers.

Myrtie Nora Pribbenow was born October 17, 1898 at Nora Springs, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pribbenow. She was married to William Witt January 24, 1918, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last January. They lived their entire married life on the farm south of Nora Springs, except for the first year of marriage.

Mrs. Witt was a member of the Methodist Church and a charter member of the Community Club.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Harold and Dale, Nora Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Marrs, Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. James (Bonnie) Billings, Nora Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Bailey Dolezol, Sacramento, Calif. and Mrs. Pearl Steiner, Bellflower, Calif; seven grandchildren: Dan Marrs, U.S.M.C., Camp Le Jeune, N.C.; Bill Witt, Decorah; Barbara, Jim and Jolene Witt, and Cindy and Bruce Billings, Nora Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Adeline Frost, in 1950.
