Roger W. Mapes

CHARLES CITY — Roger W. Mapes, 73, of 2175 S. Main St., died Sunday (Jan. 3, 1999) at his home.

There will be no memorial service or visitation at this time. The Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.

Roger Winston Mapes was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Charles City.

He is survived by a brother, Robert Mapes, Charles City, and a sister, Marjorie Groth, Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the American Heart Association.

He was found in the 1940 census, living in Charles City, Ward 2, with his parents and siblings Robert and Marjory.
