Paul E. Williams, 83, of Charles City, died Saturday afternoon, September 25, 2010, at Cedar Health in Charles City.

Graveside services for Paul Williams will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Charles City. Pastor Tim Robbins of the Calvary Baptist Church will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Paul Eugene Williams was born June 30, 1927, in Bismark, Missouri, the son of Albert and Zinner (Loness) Williams. On December 8, 1962, Paul was united in marriage to Arlene Sikes. Paul served in the United States Navy. His interests included fishing, bowling and his dog.

Living family members include his two children, Melinda Williams of Charles City and Paul (Shawn) Williams, Jr. of Calif.; five grandchildren, Desteney (Jeremey Hinders) Williams, John Williams, Matthew Williams, Timothy Williams and Cody Williams; six great grandchildren, Casey, Jonathan and Kaleb Hinders, Harley Onkin, Zoey Williams and Braden Williams; two sisters, Delores (Charley) Miller and Glorajeane (Sonny) Bader all of Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Brenda Williams; and nine brothers and sisters.
