MRS. A. KLING DIES AT RUDD
Funeral Services Are Not CompleteMrs. Anna E. Kling, 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mr. Grandon Burnett, Rudd, at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, following an illness. She had been a resident of the Rudd area 49 years.
Mrs. Kling was born Anna Brandau, daughter of Frederick and Anna (Hott) Brandau, July 20, 1870 at Baumbach, Germany. She came to the U.S. at the age of 11 with her parents and resided at Rudd. She was married to Louis Kling, October 7, 1896 at Rudd.
They established their first residence at Winona Minnesota. In 1903 they moved to Rudd where she had lived since that time.
Mrs. Kling was confirmed with the first confirmation class in Eden Presbyterian Church at Rudd in 1888. She was a member of the Degree of Honor and the Rudd Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Kate) Apel, Nora Springs; son, Alvin Kling, Osage; and daughter, Mrs. Grandon (Luella) Burnett, Rudd with whom she made her home; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a brother, Herman Brandau, Osage.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, two sisters and four brothers.

Anna Elizabeth (Brandau) Kling, married Louis Kling who was born August 6, 1864 and died April 1, 1927. Louis, their son Herman, and daughter Luella (Kling) Burnett are buried in the Rudd Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, Floyd, Iowa.Their son Alvin Louis Kling 1900-1988 who married Alma Estella Nelson 1909-1998 is buried in the Rock Creek Cemetery, Cedar Twp.
Anna (Brandau) Kling's parents ar buried in the Eden Presbyterian Cemetery, Meroa, Mitchell, Iowa and her brother Herman Brandau mentioned in this obit is buried in the Calvary Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
