Nora Springs Woman
Dies at Niece's Home

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA — Mrs. Nettie Bumgardner, 81, oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Shimmer, early pioneers of Nora Springs, died Tuesday at the home of a niece, Mrs. Foster Beard, at Nora Springs.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Sheckler Funeral Home in Nora Springs. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Mason City.

Survivors are an only daughter, Mrs. Clarence Kelly, Rock Island, Illinois; three sisters: Mrs. Ora Morphew and Mrs. Eva Sanford, Nora Springs, and Mrs. Bessie Crowell, Charles City; and two brothers, Fred Shimmer, Mason City; and John Shimmer, Rockwell.
