CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Hazel Welter, 90, of 1716 Rolfing St., died Thursday (Nov. 19, 1998) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Charles City.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with a 3 p.m. rosary by St. Catherine’s Circle and a vigil Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday morning one hour prior to mass at the church.

Hazel Mary Pitts Welter was born July 10, 1908, at New Hampton.

Survivors include two daughters, Harriet Throndson and Lillian Brandau, both of Charles City; one son, Henry Welter, of Osage; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson and two brothers.
