James Ray ‘Jim’ Foster Sr.

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — James Ray "Jim" Foster Sr., 53, of Charles City, died Sunday (March 8, 1998) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Memorial funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gospel Lighthouse, Floyd, with the Rev. Paul Phillips officiating.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home in Charles City, with the family receiving friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

James Ray "Jim" Foster was born March 25, 1944, in Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria, of Charles City; his mother, Inez Foster, of Hartford; four children, Troy Foster, Roy Foster and Joy Foster, all of Charles City, and James Ray Foster Jr., of Colwell; two brothers, Gary Foster, of Hartford, and Jerry Foster, of Des Moines; three sisters, Patricia Davis, of Ankeny, Edie Foster and Marie Sue Foster, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
