Lawrence Staudt Succumbed Sunday

Lawrence Jacob Staudt, 63, a lifelong resident of the Marble Rock area, passed away early Sunday morning at the Floyd County Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Charles City following an illness of two months.

He was born on May 21, 1902, near Marble Rock to Nick and Margaret Reis Staudt. He received his education in the Roseville School.

Survivors include two brothers, Stephen, of Rockford and Mark, of Marble Rock and eleven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one nephew.

Requiem High Mass is being held this morning, Wednesday, at 10:00 o'clock a.m. in Roseville with Rev. A. P. White, pastor, officiating. Burial is being held in St. Mary's Cemetery at Roseville.
