CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church for Mrs. Mary Ellen Welch, 76, Ann Arbor, Michigan, who died there Tuesday after an extended illness. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Charles City. Rosary society will meet at Grossmann's Thursday evening at 8 o'clock.

Mrs. Welch, wife of the late Gerald Welch, was a resident of Charles City until five years ago, when she moved to Ann Arbor to make her home with her children; Mr. Welch died November 24, 1930.

She leaves son, John, and daughters, Mrs. Eric Nue and Evangeline, all of Ann Arbor, Michigan; another daughter, Mrs. Harry Netzel, Madison, Wisconsin, and three brothers, Ed O'Neill, Charles City; Charles O'Neill, Butte, Montana, and Jim O'Neill, South Dakota.

One son, Walter P. Welch, Charles City, died March 3, 1946, and four brothers preceded her in death.
